GYROTONIC® Method

The GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® is composed of spiraling, circular movements, which flow together seamlessly in rhythmic repetitions with corresponding breath. Each movement flows into the next, allowing the joints to move through a natural range of motion without jarring or compression.

GYROKINESIS® Method

The GYROKINESIS® method gently works the entire body, opening energy pathways, stimulating the nervous system, increasing range of motion, and creating functional strength through rhythmic, flowing movement sequences. It is an original movement practice that also hSizeas roots in Yoga, Tai Chi, gymnastics and dance. The GYROKINESIS® method is practiced with a mat and stool and classes are 60-90 minutes long.

Each class begins on a stool with a gentle warm up sequence to awaken the senses and stimulate the nervous system. This is followed by a series of fluid spinal movements that increase range of motion, and prepare the body to explore more complex movements with agility and ease. Class continues on the floor with exercises that expand on the spinal motions, gradually adding more complex sequences and incorporating movement of the hips, shoulders, hands and feet. 



Pilates

STOTT PILATES® exercises are designed to restore the natural curves of the spine and rebalance the muscles around the joints. This involves placing more emphasis on pelvic and scapular stabilization and integration of all the parts of the body into one. Preparatory exercises and modifications allow the technique to be appropriate for many different body types and abilities, making it applicable to sport-specific training and everyday life. Practiced on mats and equipment, Pilates is about functional movement with sequenced breath.

Bosu/Stability Ball

The stability ball (also called an exercise ball, Swiss ball, or physioball) is a simple yet versatile piece of training equipment that you can use to train your whole body with fun and innovative moves. BOSU® Training specifically is about expanding movement capabilities, reshaping bodies and strengthening minds. It’s about inserting thought into movement.

TRX

The versatility of TRX Suspension Training® bodyweight exercise and variable resistance exercise means hundreds of functional exercises that build strength, endurance, core stability and mobility.
